DTF Transfer FAQs What file format should I upload? High-resolution PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG files with transparent backgrounds produce the best results. Do you offer image editing services? Yes. Visit our Image Editing Services page. Is there a minimum order? No minimums. Order a single transfer, sticker, banner, or a full gang sheet — whatever fits your project. Can I use a home iron? Yes, though a heat press is strongly recommended for best durability, adhesion, and consistency. What is your turnaround time? Standard DTF film orders placed by 1pm Monday through Saturday are completed the same day. Larger orders, specialty films, artwork issues, or high production volume may require additional production time. UV DTF orders are typically completed within 3–5 business days. What’s the difference between DTF and UV DTF? DTF transfers are designed for fabric and require heat to apply to garments such as shirts, hoodies, and apparel. UV DTF transfers are designed for hard, smooth surfaces such as tumblers, glass, plastic, metal, and signage — and are not intended for clothing. Do you offer local pickup? Yes. Local pickup is available at both our Grain Valley, Missouri and Scappoose, Oregon locations. Many completed orders are placed in secure pickup lockers, allowing customers to pick up their orders 24/7 without waiting for business hours. Do you ship nationwide? Yes. Have your transfers printed and now you need to know what to do. Get full instructions on our printed transfers here. 1 - Preheat the garment for 5 to 10 seconds to remove excess moisture. 2 - Place the transfer on the hot shirt white side down, image facing up. 3 - Press at 305F for cotton or high cotton blends. For polyester, synthetic and low cotton blends, set your press to 275F to 280F for 8 to 10 seconds under heavy pressure. 4 - Peel Hot (Glitter and Glow in the Dark is a Cold Peel) 5 - Place Protective sheet over garment and press for another 10 seconds. TROUBLESHOOTING - Make sure heat press is at temperature with a thermal temperature gun - Make sure garment seams, pockets, collars, ect are off of the heat press when pressing. The garment must be completely flat. - Split the garment on the press so only the side of the garment getting the transfer is on the press. - No cover sheet is to be used on initial press. - Press onto a hot, freshly pressed garment Video showing the process of application
